Shadow Box Framing

What exactly is a shadow box? A shadow box is a three dimensional frame in which an item in enclosed to create a unique display and enclose it to protect it from the environment. A shadowbox is used in cases such as medals, flags, sports jerseys, specimen collections, antique weapons and signed sports balls. Considering all these items are three dimensional themselves it makes sense that the frame would need to have extra space to be able to display them, toy can also have a mix of 3D and 2D objects such as a medal and a picture of who the medal was awarded to or a signed baseball bat along with to whom the bat belonged. Shadow Boxes are there to meet these needs of a deeper frame so that we can preserve the precious heirlooms or memorabilia we receive in our lives.
